In college we learned how our nerves and muscles work together to produce movement. Nerves send signals between your muscles and your brain about where, when and how fast to move. I always try to understand and learn more about this. With this in mind, every time I walk into my into Brooklyn Body Works before I start, I always think about what new movement I will learn or see that day. What new methods and ideas will I learn from the physical therapist on how to understand the way our body works to perform physically.
Throughout my time working at the BBW physical therapy clinic, I realized how the central nervous system always plays a key role in everything a person does. I have developed a passion for movement and exercise. Im focusing on learning more about patients with health issues like someone who had a stroke or people with disabilities like multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disorders, brain tumors, and cerebral palsy, or movement problems due to disease or injury of the nervous system.
